Welcome to Nina’s Journey: Let’s Begin Together

Welcome. I am so glad you’re here!

For a long time, Nina’s Journey has been a personal mission, a quiet framework I used to navigate my own path. Today, that changes. I am honored to welcome you to the official launch of Nina’s Journey as something larger than myself—a community, a resource, and a shared space for growth.

My story is one of transforming pain into power. Living with PTSD taught me that our deepest struggles can become the very source of our greatest strengths. Healing is not about erasing the past; it’s about using it to build a more resilient and authentic future.

This blog marks the beginning of a new chapter—one where we’ll explore what it means to lead with humanity, courage, and connection.

So why now? For years, Nina’s Journey has been quietly shaping my personal path—a way of making sense of trauma, resilience, and leadership in my own life. I’ve carried this framework with me into the boardroom, into my family, and into the ways I’ve shown up in my community. Until recently, it lived mostly in my journals and in conversations with those closest to me. But the time has come to share it more openly. It is time to become uncomfortable and scale this to something larger than just a pipedream!

I believe the world is hungry for a different kind of leadership—one rooted in honesty, humanity, and connection. The events of the last few years have revealed just how fragile our systems are and how deeply people are struggling behind the scenes. The silence around mental health, especially in leadership, is no longer something I can ignore. That’s why this space exists now—to bring voice to what has too often been left unspoken, and to walk alongside others who are ready to lead and live differently.

True leadership isn’t about titles or perfection. It shows up in many forms—parenting, coaching, mentoring, or guiding a team at work. At its core, leadership is about authenticity, trust, and creating environments where people feel safe enough to be themselves. Through Nina’s Journey, I help people break free from outdated approaches or line of thinking that overlook mental health—so they can lead with clarity, stability, and sustainable success.

These principles extend into every corner of life. Leadership isn’t confined to job titles or organizations—it’s a way of being. The same qualities that build trust in a workplace can strengthen families, empower teachers and mentors, and inspire change in communities. Wherever people are looking to grow, connect, or guide others, the heart of leadership remains the same.

Here, we will explore what it means to lead with humanity, courage, and connection.

Nina’s Journey isn’t limited to these weekly posts. This blog is the starting point, but the vision is much larger. Over the next year, you’ll see these conversations expand into my upcoming book, Living with PTSD: Learning to Speak My Truth, which dives deeper into my story and the lessons it carries. You’ll hear more voices through the Nina’s Journey podcast, where I will share stories that heal. I will speak with leaders, advocates, and everyday people who will bravely share their own stories of resilience. And you’ll see opportunities for connection through speaking engagements, workshops, coaching, and, eventually, retreats designed to help people step away from the noise of daily life and reconnect with what matters most.

My hope is that as this platform grows, it becomes more than my voice alone. I envision a community where stories, strategies, and encouragement are shared freely—a place where people don’t just come for inspiration, but leave with practical ways to transform their lives and leadership.

More Than Just a Blog: A Community for Growth

My goal for Nina’s Journey is to create a space for honest conversations across a wide range of topics—yet especially around mental health, leadership, and the many ways they overlap. These two aren’t separate; they are profoundly interconnected. Real leadership isn’t about having all the answers or keeping up a flawless façade. It’s about showing up authentically, building trust, and creating spaces where people feel safe to be themselves.

What to Expect Moving Forward

Here’s what you can expect from Nina’s Journey moving forward:

  • Business Leadership: How to create workplaces that prioritize mental well-being.

  • Parenting: Raising resilient, emotionally intelligent children with empathy and strength.

  • Community Leadership: Building networks of support and inspiring action.

  • Coaching & Mentorship: Empowering others to unlock their potential.

With every post I will work to offer strategies, stories, and insights that you can apply in your own life—whether at work, at home, or within your community.

This isn’t just a blog. It’s a conversation and a community. My hope is that you don’t just read these words, but that you engage with them, wrestle with them, and share your own story along the way.

We are on this journey together. Your voice matters. Your story is important.

Speak. Heal. Lead. The courage to share creates the path to change.

With hope,
